Welcome to the official website of the Shamrock Club of Sacramento.

The Shamrock Club of Sacramento, was founded in 2005, as a nonprofit organization formed to preserve Irish culture and historical traditions, in the Sacramento Region. The club is a non-denominational, non-political social club, open to all those who wish to connect with their Irish Heritage or just want to learn more about the Irish culture.В† We are on Facebook (ShamrockClubofSacramento), Twitter (ShamrockClub) and our website (www.Shamrocksac.com).

Our Irish-American cultural society hosts/co-hosts many annual events, including the St. PatrickвЂôs Parade in March, the Half-Way to St. PatrickвЂôs celebration in September, and a Christmas Celebration in December.В† We partner with other Celtic clubs in the area for many other social activites.

The business of the Shamrock Club is conducted by an elected Board of Directors. Meetings of the Shamrock Club are held the second Wednesday of each month.В†at 7 PM. Membership and Board meetings are open to anyone interested in our club and our activities, whether they are Irish or not. (Details at News and Info or Celtic Calendar)

I wish to thank the founding members of the club for their vision in establishing this club and their continued participation and guidance as the club moves forward and continues to grow.

Thank you for your visit; please take the time to explore our web site and get to know us. If you do not find the information you are searching for our webmaster will be happy to direct your inquiry.

The Sacramento St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 12th, starting at 1:00 p.m., in Old Town, Sacramento.

Shamrock Club members will meet at the same place as the last few years, across the street from the Old School House in front of the candy store on Front Street. We will meet there any time after 10 a.m. Participants need to be there by 12:30 p.m. to walk in the parade.
Here is the parade lineup for our entry:

Please, wear your green, invite friends and family, and encourage them all to celebrate being Irish with us!
